Not as easy as it looks

Over a year ago, I took the DiSC-based Team Dimensions Profile 2.0 to see how I fit in with my work cohorts.  I came out as an extreme “refiner”.  Refiners, “analyze a solution for flaws or a revise a project systematically”.  Translation: refiners are jerks programmed to find flaws and systematically show you how stupid you are.  At least that’s how we operate at our worst.  It’s a blessing and a curse.

So when I started working on designing my own blog, I knew a lot about what I didn’t like, what I thought other people did that was really stupid.  That’s the “refiner’s blindness” kicking in.  I’m learning that, especially with web design and multimedia aesthetics, it’s not always as easy as it looks.
